This trip is for my 18th Birthday “celebration”, and I fully took advantage of the “Celebrate You!” campaign. As October 15th was my actual birthday, we headed to WDW right after i got out of school, and headed to the resort to get my $79.00 gift card, which is kind of hard to spend if you think about it, so much stuff, and so little money.
THURSDAY OCTOBER 15th
We headed to our hotel first, Coronado Springs, checked in and then headed to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, because originally we were going to see Fantasmic!, but that didn't really happen. We got to DHS, and it was nice, a bit hot, and humid, but overall ok, and bearable.
We then headed to Backlot Express for dinner, it was good. Then, we headed to Sorcerer’s Hat to get a Figment White Glove pin, but it was only sold at Epcot. But we walked around DHS, and tried to get on Toy Story Mania, but that area was packed, and line of 70 minute wait, we continued to walk around then left, and headed to Epcot.
For a Thursday, it was kind of busy, but not nearly as busy as Saturday. We went in, straight to Pin Central and got the Figment White Glove. Then we headed to Innoventions to check out the new Sum of All Thrills attraction sponsored by Raytheon, I am not going to talk that much about it NOW, because I will have a whole blog on it later this week, but it was REALLY REALLY fun, TWO THUMBS up from me and my dad.
We then headed out of Epcot, and back to our hotel.
FRIDAY OCTOBER 16th
This day was a EARLY day, we got up and headed to Magic Kingdom for the Keys to the Kingdom Tour (which i will have a BLOG post on later this week as well, it was really good as well).
After the Keys to the Kingdom Tour, we headed back to the hotel, then went to Beaches and Cream for dinner, then walked over to Boardwalk Bakery for a cake. The Cast Member at the bakery was VERY VERY nice, and included two candles with matches for the cake. After that we headed over to Epcot, for some of the evening (sorry no pics, battery died in camera, and was rainy)
SATURDAY OCTOBER 16th
Today was a very nice day in Orlando, the weather got cooler and just plain BEAUTIFUL. We headed over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, it was nice and cool, great weather for the animals to be out and play. We went right to Everest, to “get a Fastpass”, but when we got there, at around 9:30am, the wait was ONLY 10 minutes, so we walked on. We then headed to Africa, for the Safaris, the wait was only about 20 minutes, and it was WELL WORTH IT. The cool weather, mixed with morning = ACTVIE ANIMALS, and great pics. (have MANY MANY more animal pics, check out the link at the bottom)After Animal Kingdom, we headed over to Epcot, again this time for the Food and Wine Festival, it was BUSY, since it was a Saturday, but it didn't seem THAT busy, but the parking lot was almost on to the 5th lot, when we left. (more on FaWF later this week on the blog as well)Once we ate around the world, we headed back to the hotel, then out to dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe, it was overall ok (look for the review on DisneyFoodBlog.com in the coming weeks) Then we headed over to Magic Kingdom for the Wishes! Dessert Party, a surprise from my parents, and it was GOOD! (more info coming later this week)We then saw the fireworks, walked around the park then went back to the hotel.
These pics were just a few from the almost 300 pictures.. Check out the Global Disney Pinvestigation Picasa page for all the pics.
