Its time for this week's Weekly Pin News (WPN)...

First up is Walt Disney World...

--This pin was released for the Grand Re-Opening of Disney's Hall of Presidents and the welcoming of the 44th President, Barack Obama, to the classic Libery Square attraction... THis pin was released on July 1st...--Up next is WDW's next Pin Celebration 2010 which was announced at the Museum of Pin-tiquities Scoop Pin Talk...To be held in August 2010, the theme next year is Trade City, U.S.A.. Steven invited all long time and new residents of "Trade City" to help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the founding of the city. He also explained that Trade City is an eclectic city (a cross between Radiator Springs and Main Street, U.S.A.). The city is nestled in Trading Valley and features some amazing sites to see such as the world's largest Ear Hat, world's largest backer card and the world's longest lanyard. The whole city is themed around trading. While the event will take place during the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Disney Pin Trading, the pins will be a mixture of things not necessarily related to the 10th Anniversary. -- Also announced at Scoop's Pin Talk at the Museum of Pin-tiquites... Next years Disney Summer Pin Festival 2010 at DLR will be Dateline Disneyland... Themed for Disneyland's 55th Anniversay, most likely be similar to the 50th Anniversary theme... The Summer Festival will invite Guests to return to the grand opening Press Event on July 17, 1955 and remember their "Happiest Memories on Earth." Before ending this weeks WPN we will switch focus to the Disney Parks...

--Announced this week was a major expansion project for Hong Kong Disneyland. Including three new lands and several E-Ticket attractions. THe first land to be added will be Grizzly Trails, a Frontierland/Wilderness type land which will feature a Grizzly Mountain attraction which will be a rollercoaster that will be a mix between Thunder Mountain and Expedition Everest. The second land will be called Mystic Point, a mythical type area featuring the Haunted Mansion of the park that will be called Mystic Manor. Which will be a new type of Haunted Mansion using the same type of technology as Pooh's Hunny Hunt at TDL. The final new land will be a Toy Story Playland, it will be a copy of the land being built in Walt Disney Studios Paris, just reversed.

--One final piece of Disney Parks information is that many sites are rumoring that next years promotion will be "Happiest Memories on Earth" to be celebrated with Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort for Disneyland's 55th Anniversary, like the Happiest Celebration on Earth.
